Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 April 2026
This policy explains how Business Common Sense ("we", "I") collects and uses personal data when you use businesscommonsense.co.uk. We operate under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
1. Who we are (data controller)
The data controller is Oleksii Klievanov, an individual based in Chester, United Kingdom.

2. What data we collect
- Website URL you submit through the form on the home page.
- Phone number you submit on the follow-up page (used to deliver the report).
- Technical data your browser sends when you submit a form: IP address, browser/device information, timestamp. This is logged by our form processor (Formspree) for spam prevention.
- Marketing analytics data collected via the Meta (Facebook) Pixel — only if you give consent via the cookie banner. This includes events such as page views and form submissions, associated with a Meta advertising identifier.
3. Why we use it and our legal bases
- To prepare and send you the free report you requested — legal basis: performance of a service you asked for (contract / pre-contract measures) and our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry.
- To prevent spam and secure the form — legal basis: legitimate interests.
- To measure the performance of our advertising on Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
4. Who we share it with (processors)
We do not sell your data. The following providers process it on our behalf:
- Formspree, Inc. (United States) — receives and stores your form submissions so we can read them. Transfers to the US are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (UK IDTA / Addendum).
- Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. — receives Meta Pixel events only if you have consented to marketing cookies.
- Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) — server hosting provider.
5. How long we keep it
Form submissions (website, phone, IP) are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted, unless we continue a conversation with you beyond that. Meta Pixel analytics are retained by Meta per their own retention periods.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate data;
- ask us to erase your data;
- object to, or restrict, processing;
- request a portable copy of data you provided;
- withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect processing that already took place);
- complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) — ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113.
To exercise any right, email oleksii.klievanov@gmail.com.
7. Cookies
We do not set any cookies by default. If you click "Accept" on the cookie banner, we load the Meta Pixel, which sets marketing cookies. Full details are in the Cookie Policy.
8. Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top.
